A community-led effort to instate a Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) program for population control of stray cats in North Bergen.
Your contribution will enable us to support our TNR operations. We are very grateful for your generosity.
There are two donation links - one through GoFundMe and another below this one through SnowBall for recurring donations.
We understand that TNR is controversial. Many think that Trap-Remove, which really means Trap-Kill, is the only solution to feral cats in our communities. However, Trap-Kill has been proven NOT to work, while TNR has.
TNR specifically addresses the burgeoning feral cat population in a humane way. Feral cats are trapped, spayed or neutered, and returned to their community to live in managed colonies. Kittens and “friendly” stray cats are put up for adoption, immediately reducing the population of feral cats in the community.
Private donations support the program.
What does it mean to be a volunteer? Whether you want to foster, trap, fundraise or you simply have some extra time to help, you can be part of this effort. Together we can do anything.
We are mothers, fathers, professionals, kids, adults and every color that makes up the North Bergen community. Let's help our "community cats" live their full life while controlling their population.
Our intention is to instate a community-led Trap Neuter Return (TNR) program in North Bergen. As an all-volunteer collective effort, we will raise money and create the infrastructure needed to run a successful TNR program for a better quality of life.
